Perylene Orange (CAS 82953-57-9)

  • Chemical name: N,N’-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimide.

  • Commercial name: Perylene Orange, Lumogen F Orange 240, or Orange fluorescence dye F-240.

  • Applications: Due to its exceptional thermal stability and intense photo-stability and brightness, this fluorescent dye is widely used in high-performance sectors, e.g., as colorant and pigment in optical coatings, engineering plastics, and paints. It is also used in biological imaging, OLEDs, sensors, and as a material for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).

It is widely used in a) Plastics & Textiles: for high-temperature coloring of plastics; b) Agriculture & Solar: in agricultural greenhouse light-conversion films and luminescent solar concentrators, and c) Research: as a red-emitting fluorophore for fluorescent sensors and biological/chemical imaging.
